Solarpill Emergency Location Marking

Solarpill

Solarpill is a solar powered lighting module designed to mark locations in emergency situations. The design offers two modes. The flashing mode gives a periodic signal for visual communication, and the second mode provides general lighting. Each module can be pinned to a tree or another suitable surface with a grooved steel needle, placed on the ground or hung. An integrated light sensor activates the light only when the surroundings are dark. The modules recharge in sunlight and work in cycles of 24, 48 or 72 hours.

Solarpill Emergency Location Marking by Alican Faydalı was selected as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Solarpill Emergency Location Marking earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2020. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that honors exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
