50 Liters
50 Liters is a shower head designed to make water use visible during bathing. A clear plastic storage tank is placed in the middle of the refined copper body. Water is injected into the tank in direct proportion to the water leaving the shower head, so the marked scale shows consumption in real time. A full tank indicates that use has passed fifty liters. A blue gradient on the tank suggests that resources are reduced when showers are long. The tank drains through a hole at the bottom when the shower is closed. No electricity is needed.
50 Liters Water by Junjie Lee has been recognized as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. 50 Liters Water received the Iron A' Design Award in Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design in 2020. The A' Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, bidets, faucets, urinals, washbasins and more.
