Aks Sconcentrico
Table inspired by the natural phenomenon of karst erosion called Karren, present in the Dolomites. The concept of this object, made of precious Carrara statuary marble, represents the beauty and fragility of the mountain. Inside the grooves are placed steel balls that symbolize the flow of water that erodes the marble over time. Beauty, fragility, dynamism and energy enclosed in a single object.
Aks Sconcentrico Dining Table by Ascanio Zocchi was identified as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aks Sconcentrico Dining Table was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2020. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
