Aktas
This is a modern and versatile lighting product. Hanging detail and all cabling have been concealed to minimize visual clutter. This product is designed to be used in commercial spaces. The most important aspect is found in the lightness of its frame. The single-piece frame is produced from bending a 20 x 20 x 1,5 mm square shaped metal profile. The light frame supports a relatively big and transparent glass cylinder encasing the light bulb. One 40W E27 long and slim Edison light bulb is used in the product. All metal pieces are painted a semi-matt bronze color.
Aktas Lamp by Kurt Orkun Aktas has been highlighted as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Aktas Lamp was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2020. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
