Cosmic
Cosmic is a lounge chair designed for living rooms. The angular lines of Cosmic recall the futuristic rockets of the 1960s and the rear fenders of 1959 cars, combined with the noble look of Victorian era chairs. The structure has no square angles. A multilayer cushion with electric support adapts to different body types. The base is made of German beech wood and is assembled with a frame of solid poplar wood and angular aluminum reinforcements. The upholstery is finished by hand. Cosmic measures 700 mm wide, 820 mm deep and 760 mm high.
Cosmic Lounge Chair by Gerardo Ríos Altamirano was identified as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Cosmic Lounge Chair earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2016. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
