Aurum
Aurum is a lighting fixture that can be used as a table lamp or as a pendant lamp. A modular system allows the change between the two modes without tools. The base is detachable, and a locking mechanism holds each configuration in place. The fixture is made of solid brass, smoked glass and hand-carved alabaster. An integrated LED provides warm and energy efficient light. The height is 250 mm, with a diameter of 100 mm in table mode and 120 mm in pendant mode. The form is inspired by ancient oil lamps.
Aurum Versatile Lighting Fixture by Seyedali Miri has been identified as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Aurum Versatile Lighting Fixture received the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2025. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition which honors superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
