Move
Move is a chair designed to adapt to individual body shapes and ergonomic needs. The seat can change its tilt angle like a cradle, while the backrest is suspended at two converging points, so the backrest can rotate and tilt. A pressure sensor embedded in the seat reminds the user to stand up after a set period through vibrations. The structure is made of cast aluminum with fully recycled content, and the seat, backrest and armrests are made of five-axis milled cork. Move can be assembled by the user and shipped in flat boxes, which reduces the carbon footprint.
Move Chair by Ariel Śliwiński was highlighted as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Move Chair earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
