Acorn Light System
Acorn is a lighting system of sustainable lamps that takes advantage of daylight. Each shade is covered with a mirror on its back side. During the day the mirrors catch sun rays and reflect them deeper into the room, enhancing the amount of daylight inside the space in a natural way. During the night they can reflect a single ceiling-mounted light source and amplify its strength for another sustainable approach or function as regular lamps. The system consists of wall-mounted, ceiling, freestanding, and table-top lamps. Each can be modified by combining the different shapes of shades.
Acorn Light System Lamps by Desislava Sredkova has been recognized as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Acorn Light System Lamps was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2023. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which rewards superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
