Parla
Parla is a portable multipurpose lamp designed to reduce energy use in the home. The lamp consists of two parts, a handle unit and a base. The base acts as a support and as a wireless charger, and a hinge allows the height to be adjusted. The base is made of brushed aluminium, the handle is made of plastic, and the section that light passes through is made of semi transparent plastic. A touch screen on the handle controls the power and the light intensity. The battery and the ergonomic handle allow the lamp to be carried and used as a study lamp or a sleeping lamp.
Parla Multifunctional Lamp by Tara Derakhshanfar was highlighted as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Parla Multifunctional Lamp was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2023. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that recognizes exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
