Shield Light
Shield Light is a multifunctional floodlight designed for work and outdoor use. The form is inspired by the medieval European shield, a symbol of guardianship and strength. The housing is made of aluminium, a light and corrosion resistant material that keeps the floodlight durable and easy to carry between sites. The handle has a leather patterned surface for a secure grip. The translucent frosted cover shows the state of the battery compartment. An adapter allows the use of common power tool batteries for a long working time.
Shield Light Multifunctional Floodlight by Xinyi Wu was featured as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Shield Light Multifunctional Floodlight received the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2023. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that celebrates outstanding design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
