Rollerback
Rollerback is a dining chair designed to suit different body types. The rear cushion rotates freely on a rod, so the person seated can roll into the back and find several sitting positions while still receiving support. The frame is welded from solid steel bar, and leather upholstery covers custom foam cushions. The form combines three basic geometric shapes, the triangle, the circle and the rectangle, for a simple appearance. Rollerback aims to make dining more comfortable by allowing movement instead of a single fixed posture.
Rollerback Dining Chair by Timothy Hardman has been recognized as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rollerback Dining Chair earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
