Bio
Bio is a low armchair collection designed for use in modern interiors. The opening in the backrest recalls a leaf or a shell, and the shape changes near the outer edge into a form similar to the flower of the Calla aethiopica plant. This edge bends slightly backwards and rises on one side, creating an asymmetric silhouette. The asymmetry occurs only in the outer areas of the form, so comfort and ergonomics are preserved. The materials include molded thermoplastics, steel, cast aluminum, oak wood and leather.
Bio Chair by Vladimir Zagorac was featured as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bio Chair won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
