Embroidery
Embroidery Collection is a group of upholstered seating and tables for living spaces. The collection includes a one-seat sofa, a two-seat sofa, a coffee table and a side table. Smocking, a hand sewing technique taken from the fashion industry, gathers the fabric into pleats and forms patterned reliefs on the upholstery. The smocking detail replaces the hub-pulling method used in traditional sofa work. Fabric and leather are combined in each piece. The aim is to present upholstery craft in a new visual form.
Embroidery Upholstery Seating by Yongphan Sundara-vicharana has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Embroidery Upholstery Seating won the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
