Mint
Mint is a sideboard designed for contemporary living spaces. The form combines a rectangle with triangles to create a structured surface where different items can be placed. The appearance of the sideboard changes according to the angle of view, which gives the piece a sense of fluidity and visual texture. Mint is intended to act as the leading element of a room, so that other furniture can follow its structure. The design draws on natural forms and joins an earthy character with a contemporary and abstract expression.
Mint Side Board by Yacob Sughair has been featured as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Mint Side Board earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that recognizes outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
