Guinguet
Guinguet is a pedestal serving table designed for use beside restaurant dining tables. The table supports the preparation and plating of food in front of guests. A bent front leg allows the top to reach over the dining table, so no gap remains between the two, even with round tables. The tabletop follows this projection, and the resulting shape takes on an animal-like appearance. The serving height suits standing work. Guinguet is made of oak wood with traditional techniques combined with digital tools. A drawer is placed under the shelf, and a beech cutting board can be added.
Guinguet Pedestal Table Service by Patrick Sarran was identified as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Guinguet Pedestal Table Service earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that recognizes outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
