Donut
Donut is a desk lamp designed for bedrooms and reading areas. The lamp has no visible switch. The shade is shaped like a donut and also serves as the control. The lamp is turned on by placing a hand on the shade and pushing it clockwise. Further clockwise movement increases the brightness, while counterclockwise movement lowers the brightness or turns the lamp off. The outer layer of the shade is made of linen, which softens the light and creates a warm atmosphere. The lamp measures 15 cm in length, 15 cm in width and 30 cm in height.
Donut Lamp by Bruce Tao has been recognized as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Donut Lamp won the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2021. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which honors superior design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
