Roentgen
Roentgen is a nightstand designed for the bedroom. Roentgen is made of solid wood and holds two sets of drawers, visible and hidden. When a false bottom drawer is pulled outward and turned, five hidden small drawers appear. Two visible small drawers and one large drawer with built-in charging points for electronic devices are also provided. A wireless charger is set in an upper corner. Push to open fittings and metal runners are used. The design refers to 18th century mechanical furniture with secret compartments.
Roentgen Nightstand by Nataliia Pleshkova has been selected as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Roentgen Nightstand received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2020. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that honors exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
