Drilling

DRILLING is a three-legged stool, which is composed of three identical aluminium parts. The multiple use of the same parts creates an advantage within the production process on the one hand and a formal neatness and simplicity on the other. The three parts of the stool are connected alongside their respective outward facing surfaces. By doubling the material along the legs DRILLING gains its stability and rigidity. The seat which is formed by joining the three parts has a recess at its center, which can be used as a handle for carrying the stool.

Cat's Cradle

Digits or Fibers, a current design process dilemma. All of us are beginners but some of us have to work at it. Beginning designers observe every technique available and learn some. The digit is not a life-generating unit, merely a rounding down to a least common denominator smaller than fiber. Design is at least shards, splinters and fiber.

Méo

Just like a real game of building blocks ready to assemble, Meo is a construction with a childlike and innocent character that stands out for its rigor and balanced composition. While the richness and depth of the oak brings a certain wisdom to the saturated colored scaffolding elements, an interesting duality is captured between the rigidity of the design piece and its slanted yet controlled position. Meo tends to remind us all the joy and happiness a simple wooden toy punctuated by a few bright colors can provide to a child.

Kagome stool is made from 18 right angle triangles that support each other and when viewed from above forms the traditional Japanese craft pattern kagome moyou.
